Who We Are

Strong minds, bodies, and community on two wheels.

We welcome every student in grades 6–12, at any skill or ability level. You don't try out, and nobody rides the bench. Everyone rides.

Whether you're a seasoned racer or you've never touched a trail, you belong here. We practice and race as a team, and every rider gets better for it.

How We're Run

Run by volunteers who love this

The Stingers are led by people who love biking and building community for kids.

Coaches

Our coaches are men and women who show up because they love the sport and the kids who ride it. Every one of them is licensed and trained through NICA before they lead a ride, which means a background check, safety and risk-management training, and concussion and abuse-awareness education, plus on-the-bike skills coaching. On the trail they keep safety first, model NICA's values of fun, inclusivity, equity, respect, and community, and give every rider the encouragement to get a little better each week. They plan practices, guide skills from first pedal strokes to race day, and make sure every kid has a good experience, whether they are chasing a podium or just learning to ride.

Nonprofit

The team operates as part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit guided by a volunteer board of directors. The board handles governance, budgeting, and fundraising, and keeps the team accountable to its mission so our coaches can put their focus on the riders.

Volunteers

Practices, races, and end-of-season celebrations happen because parents and community members give their time and energy in a hundred small ways. They are a huge part of making the season a success.
